Enclosed are copies of Stoyan's first two chapters and some correspondence.

As you can see, he is taking his effort to write the history of LISP very
seriously and I think he could make an important contribution in some
capacity to the conference on the history of programming languages.  I must
confess that I have not read the two chapters in German, but I believe that
Guy Steele has done so and he is upstairs from you.  I think Stoyan would
be good in the role of speaker, language coordinator, or discussant, but
one would have to face the low possibility of his actual appearance.  
However, judging from past experience, anything he could do by mail would
